Make-A-Wish® International is the organization granting wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions around the world.  We have 39 affiliates on 5 continents around the globe with one common mission. The International office is located in Hilversum, the Netherlands, whilst the Headquarter is in Phoenix, Arizona.

The Data Analyst is responsible for compiling data from several sources and creating reports of the organization’s performance and development. This role leverages technology expertise and critical thinking to create user-friendly ways to make reports and support our affiliates worldwide. Applicants should be able to communicate well, both in person and through writing and should be fluent in English. Other languages are a plus. People with a mathematical or statistical background are highly desirable, but we welcome applicants from any background.

Occupational Competencies

  • General Database: Profound experience with working in Excel
  • Business Process and Analysis: Ability to analyze and process operational data; ability to analyze customer business needs and translate them into reporting solutions
  • Business Intelligence: Basic familiarity compiling and analyzing large amounts of operational data and ability to reach meaningful business insights, ability to create reports and visual representations of given insights and data

Foundational Competencies

  • Critical Thinking: Analyze data to identify patterns and evaluate for validity, proactively proposing new ideas and solutions given business needs
  • Active Learning: Learn to use new tools and processes; proactively seek out improvement opportunities

Preferred Certifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Currently studying HBO education in related area
  • Math or Stats degree
