Open Doors is an international, interdenominational organization that supports Christians who are persecuted for their faith. Open Doors International supports the worldwide organization with services such as People & Culture, Advocacy, IT, DME Program Management, Finance and Global Research by working in a service-oriented way with teams and colleagues in countries with an Open Doors Development or Field office.

Our Chief Development and Advocacy Officer (CDAO) Team is expanding and requires increased support. This position will be part of a multi-person support team, directly supporting a number of departments in the CDAO Team, mainly Specific Religious Persecution, Campaigns and Global Integration.

This is a new position that reports to the International Presence Ministry & Speakers Manager. Due to a one-off project the FTE will be slightly higher in 2023.

2023: 0.7 FTE - 2024: 0.5 FTE

Your key responsibilities

  • Synthesize activity reporting to provide summary impact reports
  • Manage basic financial accounts and data spreadsheets
  • Provide support for event logistics
  • Set up meetings (managing calendars), take concise and accurate meeting minutes, clearly synthesize meetings
  • Confidently and warmly liaise with management regarding the follow-up of tasks agreed upon in meetings
  • Liaise with the company travel agent on behalf of staff for their frequent travel and support with related travel arrangements

Your profile

  • A committed Christian with a passion for the Persecuted Church
  • Bachelor’s degree or administrative qualification
  • Some years’ experience in a relevant position
  • Intermediate level of Excel skills to manage financials and data
  • Strong written communication skills (in fluent English) for email, meeting minutes, documents
  • Proven ability in self-structured, pro-active working practice, and ability to navigate complex environments in a culturally sensitive, harmonious manner
  • Life experience outside of birth culture/language is desirable
