Open Doors is an international, interdenominational organization that supports Christians who are persecuted for their faith. Open Doors International supports the worldwide organization with services such as Program Management, IT, Finance and HR by working in a service-oriented way with teams and colleagues in countries with an Open Doors Development or Field office.

As Open Doors we initiate and program projects in our areas of operation, where the persecution is. Our Strategic Planning Team provides the framework and standards and leads programming processes in close collaboration with our field teams. To drive high quality, simplification, learning and efficiency we initiate and pilot IT solutions and tools to support these programming processes. The IT Project Manager will support, align and generate recommendations for IT solutions and plan and lead the projects that follow it. This position reports to the Global Program Manager and has a close functional relation with the global IT manager.

Open Doors International is looking for a strategic and result oriented IT project manager with strong field interventions focus. As this is a new role, the position is initially for at least 1 year. If successful, we aim to change it into a permanent position.

Your key responsibilities

  • Establish and lead the piloting project with key stakeholders and the IT Team;
  • Continuously identify IT solutions as opportunities of simplification, integration and automation;
  • Set up, lead and safeguard project- and change plan;
  • Partner with key stakeholders to define future state IT solutions for the Strategic Planning Team;
  • Steer and support field regions in adapting to the new way of working.

Your profile

  • Committed Christian with a passion for the Persecuted Church;
  • Master working and  thinking level in IT or other relevant area;
  • Multiple years of experience in managing IT projects, also in a NGO context or other relevant area;
  • Excellent communication and project management skills;
  • Proven track record of leading change in a global environment;
  • Accountable, energetic, forward-thinking and self-directed
  • Fluency in English.
