Organisatie
Cordaid works to end poverty and exclusion. We do this in the world’s most fragile and conflict-affected areas. We engage communities to rebuild trust and resilience and increase people’s self-reliance. Where poverty, conflict and exclusion divide societies, we connect people and communities. Cordaid is one of the leading Civil Society Organizations in the Netherlands, working in fragile contexts on Health, Resilience, Private Sector Development, Humanitarian Aid and Security & Justice. Cordaid has over 500 staff, working at Global Office in the Netherlands and in offices across the most fragile countries in the world. Within Cordaid we work on the basis of trust, accountability, cooperation and solution orientation. Cordaid is currently in transition: we are implementing a uniform project-based way of working, and at the same time transferring project leadership roles from our Global Office to our offices in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. To support this transition, Cordaid is looking for a Project Coach (based in The Hague, or in our one of our country offices).

This new position in Cordaid is aiming to continuously improve project-based working in our Global Office and Country Offices. The success of Cordaid in fighting poverty is depending on our ability to implement our projects effectively and efficiently in always very challenging circumstances. Moreover, he or she must be assertive about adherence to project-based working principles as well as to Cordaid’s processes. Being both a coach and an educator, the incumbent possesses great interpersonal skills, teaching abilities, and the desire and agency to inspire and motivate.

  • Design and continuously improve project management training programs with attention to hard and soft skills;
  • Contribute to the adoption of the project-based working methodology throughout the organization, and foster an enabling organizational culture embracing Cordaid’s core values of trust, collaboration, mutual accountability, and solution-orientation.
