We are currently recruiting for the position of HR Officer 2x | The Hague (36 hours). Oxfam Novib aspires to be an organization where employees feel supported and challenged to make the best possible contribution to our mission: a just world without poverty. As HR Officer you will be the main contact point for managers and employees based in The Hague and provide excellent HR guidance to these clients on the whole range of the employee lifecycle (tactical and operational) ensuring compliance to Dutch labour law and internal policies and procedures. When required, you will take the lead on internal HR projects in consultation with the HR and Staff Bureau Manager, the HRBPs and the various subject Specialists. In collaboration with other colleagues from HR and other relevant units, you will ensure the HR’s digital footprint is maintained and act as focal point for support to customers on Success Factors.

Taken

  • The HR Officer will serve as HR point of contact for middle management (team leads, project leads) in The Hague.
  • Under the supervision of the HRBP, develop and maintain HR policies.
  • Take ownership of allocated processes & templates.
  • Acts as HR Project lead in the design and roll out of HR projects within set timelines and budget such as IT projects, training programmes etc.
  • Coordinate and participate in recruitment procedures: Check with the reward specialist that the vacancy is correctly graded according to the pre-set standards/long list applications/ checks that the interview questionnaire meets the safe recruitment principles/ participates in interviews for middle managers (HRBP for senior managers)/ Carry out the references check as per the Oxfam ‘safer recruitment guidelines’.
  • Support managers and staff in the resolution of conflict situations.
  • HR Analytics: Collect and synthesise the HR data on monthly basis and advise management on the outcomes of the reports.
  • Prepare annual data for submission to governmental bodies.
  • Payroll: Update the payroll system mutations and run the final check before transferring to payroll Contracts of employment: Issue contracts and contract amendments.
  • Oversee and improve the monthly induction process.
  • Suggest improvements and actively contributes to the entire employee lifecycle.
  • Maintains the HR page on Compass and other digital platforms and provide support to customers on Success Factors.

Functie-eisen en profiel
You:

  • have a minimum qualification: HBO Human Resources;
  • have at least 3 years’ experience in a generalist HR role covering each step in the employee life cycle;
  • are up to date with labour law and changes in HR practices;
  • ideally have experience with Success Factors or other similar HR management software;
  • are very familiar with the main MS programmes and a familiarity with web design would be advantages;
  • have good organisational planning skills;
  • have great attention to detail;
  • are customer oriented and pro-active;
  • possess multi-cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • are fluent in Dutch and English and have a fairly high level of written communication skills.

  • This position is classified in scale 8. The gross salary range is between € 2.509,-- to € 3.859,-- on the basis of 36 hours per week.
